Location:
Arsis canyon is located at a point where 2-3 ravines are created and dominates the central position. At its exit it resembles the small waterfall of Neda. It is at the end of the river Arsins, which was visited in ancient times by the women of the area, in order to conceive and have male children.
Specifications:
After a river trekking of about an hour and small descents in a green environment, the technical part of the canyon begins. It has 8 waterfalls, small slides and swimming. It is considered an easy canyon but it can become very dangerous if it has rained and there is a lot of water. It is unexpectedly beautiful and photogenic looking like a fairyland.
Short description:
The closest village to the gorge is the small village of Velimachi Gortynias. From the central square of the village and in about 20 minutes we will meet the stone bridge and the watermill. On its way out it needs support from a rural 4X4 as it has a long uphill climb to the vehicles.
