The International Canyoning Festival Greece 2023 is dedicated to independent (autonomous) canyoners (and beyond) with good/great experience in technical descents in dry and canyons with water. A strict condition for your participation is your stay at Freeland Adventure Camp.
Fees per canyoner:
• 1st batch = 80 euro (registrations until 31.01.2023)
• 2nd batch = 100 euro (registrations from 01.02.2023 – 01.03.2023)
• 3rd batch = 120 euro (registrations from 02.03.2023 – 11.05.2023)
• 4th batch = 140 euro (registration at the event)
Τeenagers ( autonomus canyoners) under the supervision of their parents = 70 euro
Children 1 year – 12 years = free
Guests / Non-practitioners = 60 euro
Official Registration at the International Canyoning Festival Greece 2023
To register you need to:
• fill in the form,
• read and confirm your agreement to the terms of knowledge.
What is included in the Festival registration fee:
1. Participation in the official schedule.
2. A welcome party at 20h00 on Saturday 13.05.2022 with music, free snacks and a beer or soda.
3. Festival t-shirt and tote bag filled with goodies.
4. Mask and Festival sticker.
5. Free parking outside base venue.
6. A printed guide, with necessary information, maps and more for the safe descent of the canyons selected for the Festival.
7. An immediate response team that is on duty daily in the base area.
8. An event that will take place in a closed auditorium with guest speakers from Greece and abroad.
9. Various satellite events (lectures, presentations, films in the closed hall, games, an evening of sound bowls and gongs with Nikolaos Unalome, nutritional advice – suggestions by Mama Earth Alexandra Kyrkou, and many more…)
10. A farewell party at 20:00 on Saturday 20.05.2022 with music, free snacks, a beer or soft drink and a raffle lottery with prizes various gifts, where you participate with your participation/registration number.
Festival registration fees do NOT include:
Transportation and tickets, car rentals, accommodation, meals, additional drinks/snacks/coffee/tea/food for inside the gorge, massage, creative childcare / baby sitting, medical expenses in case of emergency and any other activity not described in the official program (e.g. entrances to museums and archaeological sites, drivers, tour guides, etc.)
Canyoning.ai organisers ARE responsible for:
• keeping the International Canyoning Festival Greece 2023 together,
• making your stay comfortable by choosing the best location for festival’s base,
• offering a flexible schedule with fun activities,
• providing you with lots of information about the canyons of North Peloponnese and nearby districts,
• cooperating with official state and volunteering rescue teams,
• cooperating with Greek professional canyoning guides, so you can choose for your descent in case you are a beginner,
• the selection of partners with 4X4 or pick up trucks with open back, which the participants will be able to charter, for a cash sum upon agreement, for transport to the entrances of the canyons where this is absolutely necessary, as well as to the exits.
• promoting local stores, restaurants, attractions and delicacies for your convenience,
• aiming at quality, safety and entertainment throughout the duration of the festival.
Canyoning.ai organisers are NOT responsible for:
• guiding participants in the canyons,
• choosing a professional guide for you,
• car rentals
• offering transport to and off the canyons or to and off the base venue,
• canyoning equipment rentals,
• the cost of accommodation / breakfast / dinner.
Each individual canyoner and teams participating in the International Canyoning Festival Greece 2023 are responsible for their:
• canyoneering equipment,
• collective material necessary for the descents according to the information given about the canyons chosen for the festival,
• individual and group provisions for the canyons (food, water, batteries, etc.),
• individual and group safety,
• understanding and empathy with everyone on board.
International Canyoning Festival Greece 2023 refund policy
In case of cancellation of registration, the amount corresponding is:
– 75% (seventy-five percent) of the amount paid at registration, if cancellation takes place until 01.02.2023 (Wednesday 1rst of February 2023).
– 50% (fifty percent) of the amount paid at registration, if cancellation if cancellation takes place until 01.03.2023 (Wednesday 1rst of March 2023).
– 0% (no refund) of the amount paid at registration, if cancellation occurs after 01.03.2023 (Wednesday 1rst of March 2023).
Please have in mind that:
– there are expenses that are incurred immediately after the registration is made,
– it is not possible to refund the full registration fee,
– you can directly negotiate the registration with a friend who wants to participate, for an amount to be agreed directly between you.
Should you transfer your registration to another canyoner:
– notify the International Canyoning Festival Greece 2023 organization (sales@canyoning.ai)
– guide your friend to fill in the registration form on the event’s website
– include agreeing with the terms for carrying out the registration, otherwise the transfer will not be implemented.
If the transfer occurs after 12.04.2023 (Wednesday 12th of April 2023), it will not be possible to change the size of the t-shirt.
Covid-19 Health measures
Canyoning.ai, official organizer of the first International Canyoning Festival Greece 2023 cares a lot about your health and safety.
Please follow all rules to keep yourself safe as indicated by all countries in the world against Covid-19 by wearing a mask, keeping a distance and washing your hands regularly. We are canyoners too. We know that when approaching a person at the bolt a canyoner gets much closer than the 2 meters of safe distance. Please wear a buff around your neck and place it on your mouth and nose when getting closer to people while trying to rappel.
At the base venue, Freeland Adventure Camp will provide us in every dormitory with 70% gel alcohol, but it is important that you have your own protection and be committed to the safety and health of all participants of the festival.
In addition to these recommendations, sanitary regulations must be observed during the Festival. Also, please be very careful not to forget a sufficient amount of your daily medicines and supplements. You might not be able to find the same in Greece. If you are a woman expecting your period to occur while on the canyoning trip have all necessary sanitary items and painkillers with you from the beginning, as you might not have the opportunity to purchase them on the time needed.
One last tip, be extra careful with your garbage, both in the accommodation facilities and on your way down the canyons, with respect to the environment and the locals. Try to leave only your footprints and no litter.
