Canyoning is an extreme sport in nature, it is an adventure in dry or wet canyons, resembles a game and combines very easy, moderate or very demanding routes where one needs to hike, swim, descend waterfalls, dive and slide. Once experiencing this sport as a beginner one is very likely to make it a way of living as it is highly thrilling and fun.
Children under 7 – 8 years of age are very young to practice the sport. Even at that age all children must be accompanied by an adult. Other than that, women and men, young and young at heart are most welcome to practice this amazing sport, preferably after the proper technical and physical education in accomplished, legal canyoning schools or under the safe guidance of professional canyoners.
A significant element of risk is always into extreme sports in nature. Canyoning can be very easy and fun but also deadly dangerous. Major factor of danger is water flow and quantity, as well as technical difficulties, height of the descents and exposed sections of the canyon.
Canyoning is an extreme sport in nature that includes swimming. If you don’t know how to swim you can’t participate. It is safer to practice after serious theoretical, technical and physical training in the natural field with qualified instructors. It is highly recommended that beginners trying to enter canyons refrain before attending theoretical and practical lessons from certified canyoning instructors. Canyoning is a sport that can even lead to death if certain parameters and techniques are not taken into account.

10. A farewell party at 20:00 on Saturday 20.05.2022 with music, free snacks, a beer or soft drink and a raffle lottery with prizes various gifts, where you participate with your participation/registration number.
Transportation and tickets, car rentals, accommodation, meals, additional drinks/snacks/coffee/tea/food for inside the gorge, massage, creative childcare / baby sitting, medical expenses in case of emergency and any other activity not described in the official program (e.g. entrances to museums and archaeological sites, drivers, tour guides, etc.)

The organising committee of International Canyoning Festival 2023 has chosen as its base Freeland Adventure Camp, in Chiliomodi Corinthia, Peloponnese, with 32 dormitories with a capacity of 10 – 12 people.
The prices include breakfast, which will be served from 07:00 – 09:00 in the open restaurant next to the kitchen or in the closed room where the presentations will take place and will give us strength and energy every day! Vegan and vegetarian guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy a breakfast of soy milk, a variety of seasonal fruits, nuts and spreads, cocoa and fresh bread.
At Freeland Adventure Camp there is also the possibility of dinner, with an extra charge, for those who wish or have not already had dinner returning to the base after the canyons. Each morning we will need to fill in our name on the dinner list so that the kitchen staff will be able to prepare us a variety of delicacies, prepared and freshly-cooked especially for all the participants of the Festival. Again our vegan and vegetarian friends will have many options to try delicious Greek recipes on a daily basis.
So that all participants can be served and you can be with your friends and team, please organise your stay in advance, so that you can be together. The number of people in each dormitory are specific and we all need to be flexible. Thank you for your understanding!
The cost of accommodation for the International Canyoning Festival 2023 is 32.00 euros per person / day, including breakfast. (If you are vegan, calculate +8 euros / day extra). There is no charge for children up to 5 years old.

Each group / family of Festival participants is responsible for arranging their accommodation. If you are a couple or a single person, you will share your accommodation space with as many people as necessary to ensure the fullness of the accommodation.
The participation fee includes everything listed in the program here
Prices DO NOT include: Transportation, accommodation, extra food, extra drinks/snacks/soft drinks/coffee/tea, massage, creative childcare, museums, guided tours of your choice, medical expenses in case of emergency and any activity not described in the official program.
In case of cancellation of registration, the amount corresponding is:
– 75% (seventy-five percent) of the amount paid at registration, if cancellation takes place until 01.02.2023 (Wednesday 1rst of February 2023).
– 50% (fifty percent) of the amount paid at registration, if cancellation if cancellation takes place until 01.03.2023 (Wednesday 1rst of March 2023).
– 0% (no refund) of the amount paid at registration, if cancellation occurs after 01.03.2023 (Wednesday 1rst of March 2023).
Please have in mind that:
– there are expenses that are incurred immediately after the registration is made,
– it is not possible to refund the full registration fee,
– you can directly negotiate the registration with a friend who wants to participate, for an amount to be agreed directly between you.
Yes! But you need to:
– notify the International Canyoning Festival Greece 2023 organisation (sales@canyoning.ai)
– prove it by any form allowed by law
– guide your friend to fill in the registration form on the event’s website
– include agreeing with the terms for carrying out the registration, otherwise the transfer will not be implemented.
If the transfer occurs after 12.04.2023 (Wednesday 12th of April 2023), it will not be possible to change the size of the t-shirt, and your friend purchasing the registration will receive the t-shirt in the size you originally indicated by making the registration first.
As an autonomous canyoner you already have your canyoning equipment, so bring it on. However, in the premises of Green Village you will have the opportunity to rent or buy additional and new gear at the little canyoning stores.

Canyoning.ai organisers will proceed with the descents according to the situation. Heavy rain is not the best for canyoning therefore we will have alternatives in cases like that. A little rain or a mildly cold weather are ok and sometimes can offer a unique experience. However, safety is everybody’s number one priority. Generally, weather in May in Greece is an absolute delight. During the festival we will have weather updates daily.
Canyoning.ai organisers maintain the right to modify the festival program for safety reasons. All participants should rest assure that any such changes will not differ much from the original schedule.. In case of severe weather conditions, Canyoning.ai organisers put safety first and we may offer alternative excursions. Freeland Adventure Camp, our base venue, offers enclosed spots where we can easily proceed with our satellite events – so not to worry – everything will be perfect.
Canyoning.ai organisers cooperate with the largest organisations in Greece that consist of professional rescuers but also trained volunteer rescuers. There will be daily presence of rescue teams in the premises of Green Village.
