There are several ways to get to Chiliomodi: Car, Taxi, Bus, Train
If you are traveling to Greece by plane it is rather reasonable to choose Athens International Airport El. Venizelos for more options and better prices. Araxos Airport, near Patras, is another option but you need to search the dates and times of arrivals/departures, as it is not the main Airport of Greece.
The choice of base venue at Freeland Adventure Camp was made because of its location, with a distance from Athens in about an hour and a half’s drive.

CAR:
You can rent a car or van at the Airport upon arrival and the return it on your way back home. All major car rental companies have counters right outside the exit gate of your flight. We advise you to make a reservation as soon as possible, especially if you need a 6-7 seats van.
Lock Freeland Adventure Camp in your GPS and it will take you right to it. Be extra careful driving in Athens district and the National Road. We advise you to take Attiki Odos direction Elefsina with tolls at 2,80 euro payed once, when you enter the highway. It will take you easily on a rounded route around all suburbs and Athens with the less traffic possible. However, if you arrive on Friday 12/05/2023 there might be traffic jams at some spots from cars getting out of the city for the weekend. To get to Chiliomodi, keep in mind that there will be two toll stations on the Athens-Corinth National Highway. Follow the exit to Corinth and turn left under the National Road bridge to Tenea. Very soon after your exit you will approach Chiliomodi, where you will see signs with the logos of Freeland Adventure Park and International Canyoning Festival Greece 2023.

TAXI:
You can book a Taxi that will wait for you at the Airport. For your return you have 2 options. Either you book the same Taxi in advance for the date of your return flight or see if any canyoning friends are traveling back and can give you a lift. We are sure that we will be able to assist you find a spot in various canyoning groups if you are a solo canyoner looking to blend in.

Taxi driver will lock Freeland Adventure Camp in his GPS so you and your team can enjoy the ride up to our base venue. After your exit of the National Road to Tenea you will approach Chiliomodi, where you will see signs with the logos of Freeland Adventure Park and International Canyoning Festival Greece 2023.
BUS:
Athens International Airport El. Venizelos is connected to the Intercity Bus Central Station (KTEL) in Kifissos with line X93 and routes every 30-40 minutes departing from the airport. It takes about 60 minutes to reach the Central Station. Traveling by bus is the most economical solution as long as one has up to 2 large pieces of luggage.

From the Central Intercity Bus Station in Kifissos there are buses to Corinth from 07:00 until 21:30. Correspondingly, on the way back to Athens, there are many itineraries that connect with X93 for your transfer to Athens International Airport El. Venizelos. From the Intercity Bus Station of Corinth there are several routes to Chiliomodi.

If you choose to travel by bus and you have to return from your trip by plane, it is good to plan your return with enough time ahead to avoid missing your flight.
TRAIN:
To come by train to the Festival Base you have to change 3 trains from the airport. First you need to take the Athens Suburban Railway (Suburban) which connects Athens Airport to Athens Central Station at Syntagma in 43 minutes. After that you have to take the red metro line and get off at Larissa station which is the Central Station of all trains to Greece. There you will board the train bound for Corinth. After disembarking you need to take a taxi from Corinth to Freeland Adventure Camp. Local taxi drivers know our base, so just say Freeland Chiliomodi.

ARAXOS AIRPORT – PORT OF PATRAS
Approaching Freeland Adventure Camp from Araxos International Airport or the port of Patras.
If you land at Araxos International Airport, to reach the Festival Base you must take the exits pointing to Patras and Athens. After a while you will see the city of Patras on your left as you drive along the regional National Road. Follow the signs directing you to Athens.
Once you disembark at the port of Patras, just follow the signs that lead you to Athens. After a while you will pass the toll booth and continue straight. There are many toll booths along the road driving towards Corinth and the exit on your right for Tenea. Very soon after your exit you will see a Chiliomodi sign as well as signs with the logos of Freeland Adventure Park and the International Canyoning Festival Greece 2023.
IGOUMENITSA PORT
Approaching Freeland Adventure Camp from the port of Igoumenitsa.
Once you disembark in the port of Igoumenitsa follow the signs leading you to Arta and Patra. This is the longest route to approach Chiliomodi when entering Greece by boat from Italy. If you cannot avoid it just enjoy the ride. The distance to Patras, after crossing the Rio-Antirrio Bridge is 276 Km (about 2 hours and 47 min. drive).
When you get on the other side of the bridge signs will guide you towards Athens. After a while you will pass the toll booth and continue straight. There are many toll booths along the road driving towards Corinth and the exit on your right for Tenea. Very soon after your exit you will see a Chiliomodi sign as well as signs with the logos of Freeland Adventure Park and the International Canyoning Festival Greece 2023.
