Location:
Lepida canyon is located on Mount Parnonas, between the village of Agios Ioannis and the village of Platanos. The springs start from Xirokambi plateau, located between the Holy Monastery of Malevi and the village of Agios Ioannis. Over time, the waters formed the canyon, where it can be reached in two places even by ordinary hikers who can admire the waterfalls. The second one, which is also the highest, is called “Melissi”.

Lepida canyon has two impressive descents of 45 and 70 meters, which are a pole of attraction for canyoning enthusiasts. In spring and until the end of May, it has sufficient water, while later, in the summer months, the flow of water stops. It has a relatively short descent length and the two waterfalls are about 800 meters apart. Required length of 2 ropes per group 80 meters.
Short description:
The entrance to Lepida canyon begins with a jump into the deep blue waters in one of the many water ponds that we come across. After a few easy rappels we first approach the 45 m. waterfall which has a unique view of the canyon while for the 70 waterfall there is a relatively easy traverse on the left where the position of the descent chain facilitates the passage as there exists an easy footing.
