Location:
Myloi canyon is located in Alepochori, in the Aigirouses region. It ends in the Corinthian Sea and has a very nice view between narrow passages. Due to its location near Athens, it is one of the most visited canyons in the region for Greek canyoners.
Specifications:
Myloi canyon is a relatively easy canyon, suitable as a training playground for less experienced canyoners, as it is basically dry, almost all year round. It has a total of 14 technical descents with a maximum height of 25 meters. In the 25-meter descent, there is also a split rappel, with little difficulty changing rope almost in the air, with a small step on the rock.
Short description:
To descend Myloi canyon we can leave all cars on the coastal road at the exit point, which is 5 minutes walk to the exit. To reach the entrance on foot it will take about an hour of pleasant, slightly uphill, hiking. If there is a 4X4 in the group, we can go up faster to the entrance of the canyon, especially if we want to combine it with another descent on the same day to Gerakina canyon, a little bit further down the road near Schinos village, or to Pissia, the small canyon, towards Pissia village – Loutraki.
