One of the most beautiful excursions in the region of North Peloponnese is the route of the small rack railway train from Diakopto to Kalavrita. It is a pole of attraction for visitors from Greece and abroad, as the route that lasts about an hour is an unforgettable experience, full of images of Vouraikos gorge.
Due to the slope of the ground, the cog passes through points that create “teeth” so that the train can “climb” safely continuing its course up and down the tracks, through the arched tunnels and iron bridges.
Every year many hiking groups as well as small groups of romantic hikers walk up and down, right and left of the lines, on the path of the rack railway. During the Festival, on Wednesday 17/05/2023, we have prepared for those who wish to take a break from canyoning an excursion to Diakopto, with a ride to Kalavrita, on the rack railway train. On the way back, we recommend that you walk with your friends to the descent, so that you can enjoy this unique experience.
