Location:
Paraloggoi canyon is located in the homonymous village of Paraloggoi in Gortynia, which is a traditional village built on a hillside above Erymanthos river.
Specifications:
Paraloggi canyon has 18 technical descents. The last one is 75 meters (which can be split 20+55). The next largest is a single descent of about 40 meters, while most range from 3 – 15 meters, where in addition to the rappels, downclimbing is sometimes essential and there exist also 1-2 slides.
Short description:
The distance of the entrance to Paraloggi canyon from the car park in the village is 340 meters, about a 10-minute walk. For the exit we move parallel to or inside the river Erymanthos (river trekking) for about an hour towards the direction of the car parking area of the exit at the Divre hydroelectric plant at the confluence of the homonymous stream with Erymanthos. River trekking will be impossible in case of a large and strong water flow. Therefore a check of the river water is the best before entering the canyon.
