Location:
Trano Lagadi canyon is one of the most interesting canyons of the Peloponnese. It is located between the monastery of Taxiarchis and Ano Mavriki. It’s location is far from Festival’s base at Freeland Adventure Camp but if the weather permits it and the water flow is safe it is worth the driving and the effort.
Specifications:
Trano Lagadi canyon unfortunately has the most demanding exit with an almost 3.5 Km walk in the bed of the Selinunda river. This fact makes its descent prohibited when the river has a lot of water, where there is a risk of drowning. Trano Lagadi canyon has about 25 descents, truly enchanting, green and with impressive heights: 40 meters, 60 meters and a last 50 meters split in two.
Short description:
For the exit of Trano Lagadi canyon, we must leave the car at the monastery of Taxiarchis. For the entrance we need to move towards Ano Mavriki, where after the village we must go right to the end of the road and through the path to find ourselves in the canyon.
