All participants of International Canyoning Festival Greece 2023 will have the unique opportunity to experience a live, musical concert under the thick trees and bright stars of the Greek sky. Nikolaos Unalome, or in his Greek name Nikolaos Floros, is the conductor and musician but also the guide of this special experience.
As you can read in the Schedule of Festival’s events, the concert entitled “Sound Healing Alchemy” will take place in a special area of Freeland Adventure Camp, on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, with free participation for all canyoners of the Festival.
After the intense physical activity required by a canyon descent, we will rest our body and our spirit under the sounds of metal and crystal singing balls, flat bilas and various percussion, metal musical instruments.
A few words about Nikolaos Unalome
His journey of healing awakening began with the yoga practice of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Hatha Yoga and Pranayama. He completed advanced seminars on Thai massage, Osteo-Thai, Fascia therapy and Ayurveda (the ancient medicine of India) with the practice of Abhyanga massage and panchakarma therapies.
In recent years his exploration is based on the world of sound and vibrations and through this exploration he discovered the sound of Bilas, flat bells with high vibration frequency.
At the same time, he performs sound healing concerts which seek to bring a transcendental experience to the listeners, beyond any acoustic idea or musical style. Being one of the few performers of the Bilas flat bells in the world, he explores its fusion with other instruments creating hypnotic melodies and sound ripples that expand the boundaries of the known and of the unknown.
For many people the sport of canyoning is an unknown sport. After an introduction to canyoning, however, most people get hooked on this unexpectedly fun activity. So we too, having experienced an initiation into the world of Nikola’s sounds, wanted to share this very special experience with all of you!
